My web design process from sketch
Yesterday, when I finished my new blog design, I wrote the first line of this post. Today is time to finish it… There are many different ways in design process, sketch process, brainstorming and communicating your ideas. I try to describe my own style from idea to final visual.

I am not coder, I only know basics of CSS and XHTML, and I know what is possible or not. Perhaps, I start to learn these languages but for this time I am very busy because I want to improve my skills in designing the sites, logotypes and other. I spend a lot of time with studying typography and user interface in web design too.
As I wrote in my logo design process, my work starts with paper and pencil. This is the main kit for brainstorming. Sketching my ideas and looking at them is the best time to make my mistakes. I can experiment and transform my thoughts to visuals.

If I know what I want to create in my favourite software, I turn my PC on. This is the time for wireframeing - simple grey-colors visual with real sizes of all elements. I like to use 960 grid system. It’s faster because I needn’t to thinking about pixels and alignments. Now I design menu and navigation, choose a font and more. If the wireframeing is done, I take a break :).

Color definition of design is so difficult step in process and usually, I start with it only if I am relaxed and after some time past previous step. At first, I only choose color scheme and colors that I can use. Useful is make new layer only with colors palette (big squares or shapes - it’s good because I can see how my colors goes together)
I usually apply colors to big elements at first, than I work on smaller parts and details.
If is my visual ready, I consult technical matters with coder and programmer. He is the guy, that can say what we can or can’t to do. I check my final design a few days later. I often change some details, but if I was solid in previous steps, there are only small things to change.

(This is my new blog design, it will be ready to use soon because this free template is not very originall
More of my works you can find on offical web design portfolio.
