Web design in 2009
Be a trendsetter and read this article! “Web designer” profession is so young and we are inventors and pioneers. If you are architect, maybe, your father and grandfather were architects too. But if you are “web designer” your father doesnt know what is it. We havent any history and literature about web design wrote by previous generation. This is fantastic time to write web design history! We havent any limits. We cannot be conservative or liberal. We can be only creatvie or faker!
This is the reason, why i am supporter of experiments and inovative work. We want and we need new things, trends and technologies.
Jason Santa Maria and his works are good demonstration of creative web designer.
In 2008 designers started searching something new. We can admire great combinations of styles, textures and techniques. All this things will be more popular in 2009.
I belive, in 2009 we create more sites with fantastic ilustrations. One example is here.
Hand drawn style is something new too. I think, it will be out of date soon. But some parts of concept can be attractive if they are hand drawn.
With new technologies we are able to be more creative. Beautiful example of CSS is 24ways.org
There will be no more “web2.0″ style everywhere. We will be endowed by tasteful typographic designes.
Minimalistic design will be popular more as last year. And we can look forward to creative background patterns and colours nad contrast combination.
